Designed for foundation doctors and anyone applying for CT1 anaesthetic specialty training the course features interactive lectures and small group teaching with mock interview cases. Places are limited to maintain a high tutor to candidate ratio.

CT1 Anaesthetic Interview Course Timetable

Our CT1 Anaesthetic Interview Course begins at 10am online and the online programme will feature lectures containing the latest evidence-based clinical information and interactive demonstrations of interview technique to give you an idea of what differentiates the very best candidates. Mock interviews will be conducted in the afternoon.

1000-1030 Application and MSRA technique – Lecture and Small Groups

All aspects of the CT1 anaesthetic application including scoring are covered. Learn how to optimise your CV and portfolio to score maximum points and how to deal with tricky questions using core interview technique rather than stock answers.
1030-1045 Coffee

Break time!
1045-1115 Online Interview Technique - Key, Topics, Structure and Cases

Understand the interview format and learn key interview and communication techniques that will help you to present more fluidly to score top marks.
1115-1200 Clinical Cases - We prep you for beyond the interview and in case clinical stations come up

We cover as much of the anaesthetic syllabus as time allows and more importantly we help you to develop the communication skills and framework for answering any clinical questions under pressure in a way that will demonstrate safety, knowledge and score you maximum marks.
1200-1300 Lunch

Break for lunch
1300-1600 Mock Cases - We cover everything else!

Half of the day is spent in 1-1 mock interviews where you will be put under pressure and your knowledge and interview technique tested. The format is just like in the real interviews with the opportunity to learn from peers and last year's highest scoring candidates so that you will be fully prepared for the real interviews.
